So, I'm sick. Dean and I went to the park for 2 hours on Tuesday and I thought my allergies were just flaring up from being out in nature, but it's gotten worse. Fortunately, I had a 6 month checkup scheduled for today anyway, so I went to the doctor. She confirmed that it's a cold. She offered me a steriod shot, which I'm now wishing I had accepted. (Wouldn't the drive home have been FUN!!?!?) Dean is cutting his last 4 teeth and they are doozies. When he is teething, his nose runs, his stomach hurts and he usually runs a low-grade fever. Last night he woke up around 1:00 coughing and gagging a little from sinus drainage. I ran down to the kitchen to get him some water while Marcus held him...and he threw up. Poor Marcus always gets the vomit. (Except for that one time when Dean threw up ON MY HEAD. Let's not forget that.) Needless to say, Dean and I called in sick today.
My doctor's appointment went swimmingly and I don't have to go back for a year! My cholesterol and creatnine are down, which is extra-great, and my blood pressure was good. It always feels good to get a clean bill of health.
For some reason, it's downright springlike here today. It's messing with my mind. I love spring, but it's FALL, y'all. It should be crisp and cool, not balmy. Nothing like carving a pumpkin in 75 degree weather...
Here's a little video Dean and I made this morning. Enjoy. Send noodle soup.
Sorry you are a sickie! I would totally go to Panera and bring you soup if I lived closer...oh, and I think we need a friendly blog wager on the Iron Bowl this year!

Being sick is no fun! Luckily you know it is just a cold and not something worse...
And yay for a good check-up! Hopefully Dean and Marcus are good nurses for you this weekend and you can be back to full strength by Monday!
