I'm participating in Adventuroo's A Week In My Life project this week, documenting what my family and I do each day.
Saturday started pretty early, as I had to be at work at 9:15. Despite staying up pretty late Friday night, Dean woke up at 7:15. Marcus and I were sitting in the hall bathroom talking while I put on my makeup when we heard Dean's giggle outside the door. He and I had breakfast together before I headed out.
Dean and Marcus spent the day running errands, playing "guys" and watching Halloween shows. Marcus's dad's birthday is Tuesday, so they went to the store to get a card and gift. Dean was charged with selection a gift card for Pop Pop. He chose one to Cracker Barrel. Someone stole our trash can from the curb on Friday, so the guys had to pick up a stand-in until the waste company can deliver a new one. They hit the Dollar General for that and a few other things, then stocked us up at Publix. I love it when Marcus grocery shops because we end up with heartier items.
I had rehearsal at 10:00 and we started staging the show in the studio. We worked hard for most of the day on staging, then moevd on to work on music in the afternoon. I got home around 7 and Marcus had made pasta with arabbiatta sauce. It was divine. I played with Dean for a long time, then read him lots of stories before absolutely MAKING him go to bed at 9:40. He fell asleep pretty quickly. It was really cool last night, so we turned on a little heat. I both love and hate the smell of the heater the first time it's turned on each Fall. I could do without it smelling like my house is going to burn down, but I also find it comforting and reminiscent of Christmas.
Once Dean was asleep, I went downstairs and watched a little of the Alabama game, then Grey's Anatomy. I headed up to bed around 11:15 with Marcus not far behind.
Next up: Sunday! (Last day o' the week!) But first...Saturday's lame sparse picture collection.
