A few years ago one of my assistants at work came to a dinner party I threw carrying a tray of these truffles. They were incredible. They are also incredibly easy to prepare! If you're an Oreo-lover like me, you'll enjoy these babies a lot.
OREO TRUFFLES
- 1-8oz package Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 package (1 lb, 2 oz) Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 2 packages (8 oz. each) Baker's semi-sweet chocolate, melted
Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs together until well-blended.
Shape into 48 one-inch balls. Dip into melted chocolate and place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. Refrigerate one hour or until firm.

I don't know if I have it in me to crush a bunch of Oreos! Sacrilege!

Oh. My. Lord. And just when I committed to lose weight. If I make these will you help me eat them? They look wonderful! I was hoping we could make truffles together when you visit. We'll have to add these to the list. :)

They are awesome. We made 'em last year. You can also use mint Oreos and then sprinkle crushed candy cane on top. Mmmmmm.
