Would you just look at that sweet face?
I finally got to go and visit with Meredith and baby Henry on Wednesday. As a bonus, I even got to see Dave, as he sprinted home to bring us lunch and kiss his son before heading back to work.
Henry is a dream. He had slept almost all the way through the night (yeah, Dean? Didn't do that til he was 8 months old.) and he napped most of the time I was there. We did get a chance to snuggle and talk some, though.
If I could have more babies, my ovaries would have exploded. I haven't cuddled a newborn since Dean was born. I honestly think I'd forgotten how teeny tiny newborn babies are. His onesies only have 2 snaps and his diapers are the size of a Kleenex. I helped Meredith change his PJ's and it was so weird to be dressing someone who doesn't help push his arm through his sleeves. He's got really sweet feet and long fingers and toes. I got to feed him a bottle, which was like Heaven. That's the one thing I miss most about Dean's babyhood, snuggling and feeding him his bottle.
It was sort of freaky standing there over his crib with Meredith. We looked at each other and grinned and I said "We're people's mothers!" Everything will be different now when we're together. I can't wait for our boys to grow up together.

Do NOT talk about my boy! You didn't sleep thru the night until you were, ohhhh, 12 years old!

They are so tiny when they are born! Their diapers are half the size of our toddlers, which is just crazy!
And Henry is better at sleeping than AJU6. But, I can't complain too much with AJU6 - he is still better than his sister was at this age (4-5 hours then 2 hours until we get up).

Henry is such a precious baby! Good for him for sleeping so well! I know Meredith and Dave are happy about it.

That was the sweetest post! It almost made me feel baby hungry. But it's passing now. :)
